Nikhil Tanawade - Owner of NGO (Future Guide for Kids)
Nikhil Tanawade completed his Master of Arts in Counseling from Sikkim Manipal University in 1998 with an aim of helping people in need. He started his NGO (Future Guide for Kids) in 2003 and has been helping kids to build a good future for themselves since then. He also aims to eliminate child labor in the country completely by 2025.
Not only in getting a job, but Nikhil Tanawade helps children even after placement and guides them on how to be effective at work and how to succeed in the job. Few of the kids whom Nikhil helped back in the 2000s are now in top positions in some of the big companies. According to Nikhil Tanawade, children are the future of a family as well as the country. If every poor child gets proper education, poverty will end and our GDP will increase as they will be contributing to country’s economy, hence Nikhil Tanawade tries to help as many kids as possible through his NGO (Future Guide for Kids).
Future Guide for Kids has even helped a lot of families financially and emotionally. They conduct campaigns in various schools to help students who are a victim of abuse or are getting bad grades or are addicted to drugs. According to Nikhil Tanawade, most of the poor kids get in bad company in their childhood, as a result, they become addicted to drugs or other mischevious activities. Nikhil Ramakant Tanawade says “No kid is born bad, he becomes bad because of the circumstances. We as a social worker need to understand their circumstances and deal with it accordingly”.
He looks for those kids who fell victim of their situation and teaches them what’s wrong and what’s right. Nikhil is known to have given a good life to a lot of such kids. With the help of Future Guide for Kids, Nikhil aims to make a community where students will not only learn academic learning but also sports, leadership qualities, enhance their entrepreneurship ability, and other activities because every kid has a different dream and forcing everyone to study is also a kind of torture.
